“Tatjana Stefanovic is a Serb who emigrated to New Zealand from Yugoslavia 11 years ago, and graduated with masters degree in fine art from Elam a year ago. Her sense of visual drama was shown off to fine effect in her set design for Silo’s production of Scentless Apprentice last year. In her first solo show at Whitespace she explores folklore, customs and the nature of time in a striking range of paintings, installations and sculpture. She is a true drama queen.”
